#Donate: Social Media for Social Good

Is it just me, or has social media has kind of sucked lately? Between the presidential candidacy hooplah and the bickering over religion, guns, politics, and all kinds of “isms,” Facebook and Twitter have been . . . well . . . sucky.

I admit, I’ve kind of let it get me down. Time to regroup.

One of the best ways to get out of a slump is to do something for someone else. I truly believe that social media can be a powerful means for social good, which is why I’m psyched to be hooked up with —an organization that makes it easier for people to support their favorite causes through social media.

Once you sign up with GoodWorld, you can donate to any of the 1300 nonprofit organizations they’ve partnered with simply by posting #donate and a dollar amount on that nonprofit’s Facebook or Twitter pages.
